Here’s some fun moments we’ve been able to have over the last week as we are “celebrating the moments” we have with our sweet little girl (who will have a name very soon :)! We have been so amazed at the community around us that is celebrating with us and feel so loved by that! Thanks for not only praying with us but celebrating with us!
On Wednesday Kevin took me on a date, where we just played and relaxed together and then he surprised me later in the evening with this piece of paper he had made to start to document the memories we want to have with our little girl (I was so impressed with his handwriting!) Of course I cried and then we enjoyed getting to start our “Timeless Treasure” moments we’d like to have with our sweet girl (at the near top of the list being Disney… obviously!)
We went for a walk afterwards and as it was raining pretty hard I couldn’t help but think that we needed to add “splashing in puddles in the rain” to our list… so as we came across a puddle, I splashed a little… then Kevin fully jumped in a puddle and we decided to make this a family puddle splashing moment, our pants/skirt got drenched but it was so fun 🙂 So if you have sweet little kids… go splash in a puddle WITH them… you’ll love it! (and yes, I totally jumped in the puddle… it only looks like I’m just standing in it!)
My mom and sis came to town this week (my sister has all those pics so I’ll post them later), but we went and picked out a baby book together at Michaels (which was fun and hard all at the same time.) I was hoping the lady at the cash register wouldn’t ask too many questions, as I’m not quite ready to respond to them. She asked a few, congratulated me and you know it’s kinda sweet that some people don’t know the sadness that goes a long with the joy because it reminds me in their genuine excitement for me that welcoming our little girl into the world no matter how she comes or how long she’s here is sooo exciting. Anyways, for some reason she really liked us and decided to give us every discount imaginable saying she had just moved to the store and would just pretend she didn’t know what she was doing… Haha! That brought joy to my soul, I felt so blessed by that!
So Mom (or Nini), my sister (aunt Laurie), myself and baby girl went to get ourselves a pedicure later…. teaching our little girl the finer things of life early! 🙂 That was so special and I do believe we’ll have to make that a more regular mother daughter date!
Every Thursday we celebrate our daughters “week” milestones and this week some amazing friends from church helped us amp up the celebration with this for our little girls 21 week celebration!
Best 21st bday party ever! Complete with sparkling cider, root beer, 21 hugs and some kisses, and 21 root beer cupcakes… delicious!
We are so enjoying celebrating the moments with our little girl!
